Poem of the day – Moth herd

Moth Herd

Flutter a day a life, fleeting glimpse at windows

Rest little for fear of missing a web, caught in the wind and light

Shimmering in fractured symmetry

Balanced in strength

Bled creaming, sweat pouring mercilessly towards machine

Delivered in parcel bites of missed opportunities

It’s over before it’s begun

Tremble at the battles not won

Freeing a rift in the sand

The wind to drift together in no time at all; the chasm forgotten

Or did it exist, or just imagination

A memory a thought an illusion

True only now this moment
