Daily poem – Ripple star

Ripple star

Clapped out in hunger

A paltry gift for a slammed up chieftain

Man from times past when young ones were harboured

Chained to a destiny a path carved rigid

A purpose given not chosen, a noose to tighten

A passed on grievance felt for families and centuries

Bleeding hearts closed to giving just protecting

What, though an illusion, a pieced together exclusion

No more inclusion; a continued death of a community

Doors locked in terror for the neighbours are strangers

Habits in our own castle bound

A moat of selfish ownership, a foundation sound

As the stars move apart from each other the universe will die

Are we starting
