Poem of the Day – Tense Opening

Tense Opening

Squeeze tight a nightly time delight in larder high hiding

A purpose extending spools of silk, woven in soft skin style beauty

Purple gown flown in from fancy, bearing swift wings on windy beach waters

Gloved hand gifts a gentle mystery, a wonder, to walk in a drift of petals

A blistered piece of silver crushed in gem like shining

Catches the sun-lights brief entry

Stuns the eye in a flash of glory and then is gone

The conscious reasoning shaken and all thoughts shifted to question

A likely inclusion to broken group pressure; produce a special letter

A new correction in telling, a story, a best guessed tester

Meant for pent up shoulders to release the brittle scolding

Holding on for safety

As if a falling will happen; giddy at the expectation

Reeling in sickness

Rest little one
