Poem of the Day — Soft Heart Serenade

Soft Heart Serenade

Swift the windswept wings brush the candlelight

Quiet the wet wind whistling in the silver birch fire-lit sunrise

Level sea purrs gentle and unassuming

Pencil eyes in mirror shining

A wrinkle in silk dresser curved, enticing

Flames lick the ceiling in shadows

Warm air brushes out the chill

Flap of large wings on mercurial waters edge

A meaningful moment

A stroke for comfort of shining hair

Dreams awake and golden

No need to speak

It is all in the movement

Courage wells up

Compassion, love and reason
