Poem of the Day — Braced for Business

Braced for Business

Pink wall trepidation, meant for blast furnace welcome

Prized apart from trophies an attachment to delivered promises

A hat to large

A beast of a belly hip trained disaster

Falling for tender looks, an eye for the glamour

Pressed for time in pressure

To seal the drinkers wishes

With lemon and lime

Iced cordial mixer

Quote a broken party wrap star

The one with sparkly patterns

Swinging in the lanterns

In the starlight concrete printed hand trace

Portrayed as a mistress coverlet

Make the bed

And lie in it
