Daily Poem — Doorkeeper Mantle

Doorkeeper Mantle

Back broken home made wine

Lead filled bottle tops to keep in the flavour

To blow the mind

Whisky still not moving, emotion removing

No longer need to feel the pain, down the drain

Bargain hunt for cheap sustainable income

To give to the tender, a bar belle protector

A brazier selector

To entice the punters

Not a Venice holiday, just Butlins brawling

Barbed wire tactics to keep the money in

Simple tricks to win over the visitors

Monkeys in traps, swinging from apple pie containers

As sweet as the next tongued textile

Licked for sharpness

Glass gripping titans parade the dance floor

Looking for luck and money

Dripping between the trousers

Animal state

Returning
