Poem of the Day – Tight Grasp

Tight Gasp

Slim chance of a broken dream, a song sung in hindsight

Passing with wishes to Sunday school habits

A ruler rapping pigtail puller

Slamming the big one, in a wrestle hold

Be bold not chilled in triple twisted marking tool

School of winged messages vibrate in the pocket

Whistling beat tunes to simplify a response

Trying to connect with an ephemeral being

I am out there, who cares I just dare to tremble

At simple things like holding a pen

My friends again just cause me anguish

As I try to entertain a notion

A belief, a wonder

Instead I blunder

Over words I feel anxious

Internal disgust

Must get a life

Forgot I got one
