Poem of the Day — Sounds not Sense

Sounds not Sense
Poor quality, astride a whistling pony

Saddled with another days paper trail

Terror applied to shattered amulets

On a concrete terrace

Festooned with cracked eggs, shells in crumpled shimmering detail

A thought from a tedious television show

Lead by biscuit throwing interviews

With marginalised columns of complaints

The same as yesterdays press released pigeons

With starched collars standing upright

To honour; clapped out to make the sounds seem open

Chosen from an internal advertising sample document

Get the show on the road

Pull in the man trapped, slave driving, anti social, gratuitous speculators

Spell bound

With a dictionary
