Poem of the Day — Coupled Dreams

Coupled Dreams
Copper crates of rusty brown billowing cast offs

Smiling the hearts on reflection

Tones of excitement

Revealing tension or conflict in season

Tricked, out and in breathing

Levelling reason

We trudge in noisy crispness

With trees like dangling lanterns

A flame, a light, a venture

Into thoughts

With rich colour in cultural sharing

We teach each other lessons

In rhythm, in snivels, in stories

Bound together by connection and feelings

A company of twilight glorious sunsets

To be embraced

And featured

In the albums of testimony

To beauty

Of life
