Poem of the Day –Clouded Comfort

Clouded Comfort

Smothered in shields of my hidden self

On the shelf feelings

Tumble spiralling

Muster a grasp

At last a giving rather than leaving

Adventures teaming in my head

Chilled bones warmed

I turn and chatter teeth greet the stillness

To the alleyway

Crushing snails as they slide in unison

To find a refuge

Complete a chase

Open lives
