Poem of the Day – Bloated Sea

Bloated Sea

Chuckle at winter thoughts; turning to Spring

Singing songs that mean more to mermaids than shells

Telling tales to whispering winds.

Things in bell towers ringing; true to the sun.

Become dreams that swell with colour soft and caressing

Accessing the heart of believers

Clattering shingle bursting with calling bird sounds

Around the headland is another beginning

Bringing hope to self and others

Summer chaste wishes crushing closed and cramped

Morning bristling, busy with meaning

No more scheming

Seeming to be noticing fresh growth

Slow to remember the kissing

Missing the clouds that quench the shallows

Bought by sellers

Tellers of tales

The truth of tomorrow
